Want to make your own rigs and traces, a basic start to getting into making pike fishing rigs and traces for yourself starts. This maybe down to prices of ready made items or probably more likely that like many experienced anglers its about tailor making them to suit your needs and sizes of baits etc that you are probably using.

As you will see on the right, there is a panel containing images of items that would be required to make up the traces or rigs that will be covered in the pages describing the making of any of the rigs listed on the left hand menu.

You may well have these components already, but for those new to trace making, then they will gain additional help and understanding about what is likely to be needed! If you should choose to, you can purchase the items from the linked store pages. This facility will be expanded progressively as the rigs and traces are explained, and where it is possible, the recommended items of tackle will be included in the rig/trace page.

You are under no obligation to purchase, the facility of showing detail and cost provides you with an option, you want to make your own traces and need to purchase the wire, swivels, hooks etc, that may mean a trip to a tackle shop somewhere, if that's local, fine. If not it might be useful to be able to order and receive the bits in the post a couple of days later and save on travel cost. The store is run in association with Amazon and the item purchase is made through them, with all the assurance of getting the right price and security if a problem should arise.
